Welcome to Soccer Starts at Home®-NC Brought to you by NC Rush Soccer and the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association. The North Carolina Youth Soccer Association is a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association- the leading organization for youth soccer in the country. NC Rush Soccer has been a member of NCYSA for over 25 years. We are based in Winston-Salem. We are a small club with big successes. In fact, of the 87 youth clubs in NC, we have had the highest percentage of teams that have advanced to the North Carolina State Championships for 2 straight years. Plus, we have had a team win a National Championship and several Regional Championships in recent years. 

We pride ourselves in player development and that is why we are so excited to bring this innovative program to the families in Winston-Salem. Soccer Starts at Home® is designed to help parents introduce their children to basic soccer ball mastery skills in their home environment. This program, which is 100% Free, will help a child develop cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally.  Here are a few of the science-based facts that make this program so powerful:   The child’s brain develops at its fastest rate in their early years, with 90% of the brain being developed by their 5th year. This is the time to introduce new skills and capabilities to them as they will never learn things faster!   A young child constantly seeks their parent’s Attention, Approval, and Praise. And the home environment is a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental place to learn. So, parents helping their children learn these basic skills at home is an incredibly powerful combination.   Exercise helps the brain develop. When a person is exercising, the brain releases a protein called BDNF, which helps accelerate brain development. So, while your child is exercising and learning new soccer ball mastery skills, their brain’s development is accelerating for everything else they are learning- language skills, math skills, social skills, and more. 

This program is targeted for children ages 8 and under and is 100% FREE. It is being brought to you by the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association and North Carolina Rush Soccer Club. Go to the Soccer Starts at Home®-NC website at www.SoccerStartsatHomeNC.com register your child, and start the program. The program is FREE, but you need to register to get your login credentials. There are lots of fun videos for you and your child to view, parental tips, testimonials from experts, and much more. The first 200 kids ages 8 and under registered in February 2024 will get a Free Starter Kit which includes a Soccer Mini-Ball and a Soccer Starts at Home® book! • Go to www.soccerstartsathomenc.com and register your child.
• Enter “NC Rush” as the club affiliation. 
• Send an email to soccerstartsathome@gmail.com telling us that you have registered online and would like to get your starter kit. 
• We will send you an email telling you how to pick up your Starter Kit at our office in Winston-Salem. We will have THREE (3) pickup dates in Winston-Salem for you to come pick up your kit.
